Over the decade of Danny’s experience as a Fire Safety Engineer he has spent time as a researcher with the BRE and as a consulting engineer with Trenton Fire, covering fire safety design in all sectors of the built environment.
Danny is well known for delivering creative structural fire engineering strategies for iconic buildings that are pragmatic, efficient and resilient, whilst permitting flexibility in-use and that protect the asset value.
A strong advocate for the integration of research & practice, Danny currently holds a Visiting Professor position at the University of Sheffield, and is the author of numerous publications ranging from journal papers, conference papers, book chapters and magazine articles. He is also leading the revision of fire engineering guidance documents PD 7974 parts 1 and 3 on behalf of the British Standards Institute (BSI).
